Andy has been at the cutting edge of rock climbing in the UK for over 10 years, and has been one of the UK's most successful competition climbers on the international circuit, most notably winning the La Reunion event on the 2007 World Cup circuit. Andy has also been British Bouldering Champion on three occasions.

A qualified sports scientist, Andy is the British Climbing Team coach and also co-owner of Climb Newcastle, a dedicated bouldering facility in the north-east.
